Community rules

The same rules, in the same words, that you accept in the app before your first post.

This page will be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before registration opens. Last updated 13 September 2026.

The eight rules

These rules apply to every post and reply written in the Global Talent Journey community. They have not been through a legal review yet. When they change, you are asked to accept the new version.

Version 13.2 September 2026

  1. Share your own work and experience under your own name. If you share someone else's resource, say so; the first person to post a link is not its author.
  2. No engagement trading: do not ask for likes, stars, follows or views on other platforms, and do not ask for screenshots as proof or for anything in return.
  3. Do not ask anyone for their visa status, application outcome, phone number, portal password or private documents, and do not share someone else's personal information.
  4. Do not promise anyone an outcome or tell them they qualify for a route. A member's experience is not an official rule; if you rely on a rule, add its source and date.
  5. Be respectful. Harassment, insults, discrimination, threats and illegal content are not allowed.
  6. No advertising or spam. Professionals do not use the community to find clients; a contact request is always started by the member.
  7. If you find a security flaw, do not post it in the feed; use the private security report under Platform suggestions.
  8. You can report a post or a member with “Report”, and mute or block a member. Reports go to the moderators' review queue; where a report stands there does not depend on the kind of membership you have. A complaint about a professional goes to the registration verification queue. If your post is hidden or removed, you see the reason and can appeal.

Who they apply to

Every member, the people who run Global Talent Journey, moderators and listed professionals. Nothing gives anyone moderation power, a higher place in the review queue or protection from reports. Moderators are not lawyers and do not give opinions on anyone’s case.

Replies in the community come from other members on a similar journey, not from lawyers. Posts are not confidential or privileged. Do not post details that identify your case, and never post other people’s documents or details.

How to report something

  • If you are a member: use “Report” on the post or on the member in the app. Choose a reason; for illegal content, say what you saw.
  • If you have no account: send an illegal content notice with the contact form. Give the exact link to the content, explain why you believe it is illegal, give your e-mail address and confirm that the notice is accurate and made in good faith.
  • A complaint about a listed professional goes to the registration verification queue, not to community moderation.

Reporting is free for everyone and never waits for anything else.

What happens after a report

  1. The report goes to the moderators’ review queue in the community engine. Every report is scored the same way, whoever sends it.
  2. When several members report the same post, the community engine can hide it automatically until a moderator looks at it. That is the only automated step; every decision after it is made by a person.
  3. A moderator decides: no action, keep the post but act on the member, hide it, or remove it. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to a temporary restriction or the end of the account.
  4. The person who reported is told the outcome. In the app it appears under “Reports you made”: received, acted on, or no action needed. A notice sent without an account is answered by e-mail.

Moderators are one small team, so there is no promised response time yet. Illegal content is looked at first.

The reason you are given

If your post is hidden or removed, the app shows you, under your moderation decisions:

  • what happened to the post (hidden or removed) and when
  • the reason the community engine recorded, and what members reported it as
  • whether it was hidden automatically after reports or by a moderator
  • how to appeal

Not every decision carries a written explanation from the moderator yet; when there is none, the app says so instead of inventing one. The rule the decision relies on is one of the eight above.

Appeals

You can appeal a decision on your own post in the app, free, with a short explanation (10 to 2,000 characters). There is no deadline. A moderator decides with a written reason, which you see; nobody decides their own appeal. If the appeal succeeds, the post is shown again.

To complain about how a report or appeal was handled, or about a restriction on your account, use the contact form with the type “Complaint”.

Serious illegal content and the authorities

Content that exploits children is removed at once and reported to the authority the law names. Where a post suggests a threat to someone’s life or safety, the information is passed to the police. Other illegal content is removed where it is visible from the country whose law it breaks, or everywhere when that is simpler and proportionate.

Contact point

One contact point for members, notifiers and authorities: hello@globaltalentjourney.com, or the contact form. Languages: English and Turkish.

If you are in crisis

The community is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in danger, call the local emergency number: 112 in Türkiye and the EU, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US. In the UK, Samaritans answer on 116 123; in the US, call or text 988.
