Private preparation is free, and during the launch period community participation is free too. What the launch period means

  • Registration is not open yet. When it opens, “Start free” will lead to sign-up, and no card will be asked for.

  • The encrypted document vault is in preview and not yet open for real documents.

See what a route asks for, before you sign up

Pick the country and route you are reading about. GTJ shows the preparation items that route’s published template lists, and answers questions about the platform from this site’s own pages. Nothing you do here is saved or sent anywhere.

Choose a route above to see its preparation items.

Ask about GTJ or the route you picked

This is a preparation picture. It is not a chance of acceptance.

Continue in GTJ Registration is not open yet. When it opens, this will carry the route you picked and nothing else.

Choose the pathway you are reading about

UK Global Talent is a UK programme. The US has separate categories with different rules. GTJ keeps them apart, and it never tells you which one you qualify for: it shows the official sources and helps you organise.

Not decided yet? You can start in an explore mode that shows sources and comparisons, with no percentage.

How it works, in three steps

  1. Pick a path, or just explore

Choose UK or US and the pathway you are reading about. You can keep two countries in separate workspaces.

  2. Organise your preparation privately

Import your CV text, confirm the fields, put documents in folders and see the next task on your checklist.

  3. Learn with others when you choose to

Share your work in the community to get useful feedback, or help someone else. Sharing is always a separate decision.

Your private workspace, CV and checklist

Your workspace belongs to you, and it is being built so that community members, professionals and administrators cannot open it. Progress is counted from tasks you complete, each tied to an official source, so you can see why a task is there.

Who is meant to be able to open your vault

  • You, with your passphrase or your recovery key
  • Other members, including people you talk to in the community
  • Professionals, whatever their listing
  • GTJ administrators and moderators: GTJ holds no key to it

Preview status. The encrypted document vault is still being built and reviewed. It is not open for real sensitive documents yet.

The Upload a file dialog in the member app: a chosen test PDF with the size and type limits, an optional task to bind it to, a question about whose information the document holds, and the confirmation that it is a test document, not a real passport, identity or application document. The Upload a file dialog in the member app: a chosen test PDF with the size and type limits, an optional task to bind it to, a question about whose information the document holds, and the confirmation that it is a test document, not a real passport, identity or application document.
Member app, invented data. An upload asks you to confirm that the file is a test document.

Journey Preview

Fictional example. The person, CV, folders, tasks and feedback below are invented. Nothing you choose here is saved or sent anywhere, and this preview asks for no documents.

The percentage is document-preparation progress: how many preparation tasks are done. It is not a chance of acceptance, and nobody can calculate one for you.

  1. Choose a country and path

Showing: United Kingdom · Global Talent · Digital technology

  2. Synthetic CV and folders Fictional

    Name
    Sample Candidate (fictional)
    Role
    Backend engineer, 8 years (fictional)
    Highlight
Maintains an open-source data library (invented example)

Example folders (illustrative, not an official document list):

    • 01 · CV and personal statement
    • 02 · Letters of recommendation
    • 03 · Evidence of recognition
    • 04 · Evidence of contribution
  3. Preparation progress

7/12 preparation tasks done = 58% (document preparation, not an acceptance chance)

    7/12
    • Done CV text imported and fields confirmed
    • Done Path chosen and official page saved
    • Done Folder structure created
    • Done Personal statement: first draft
    • Done Evidence item 1 placed and described
    • Done Evidence item 2 placed
    • Done Recommender list written
    • To do Evidence item 2: your own role described
    • To do Evidence item 3 placed
    • To do Letter 1 received
    • To do Letter 2 received
    • To do Whole folder re-read against the official page
  4. Useful feedback Fictional

Written as if by a community member; no real person wrote it. Your private workspace is never posted automatically: sharing something with the community is a separate step you choose each time.

  5. Next task

Add one sentence on your own role to evidence item 2.

A community built for useful feedback

Members share their own work, ask for specific feedback and react to posts they find useful. There are no public like counts to chase, no daily streaks and no pressure to post. Reading the community needs an account; it is not public.

What you prepare privately stays private. Posting something is a separate step you take on purpose.

Share with the community, not the whole internet.

Member discussions and profiles are not part of the public website. Public examples are fictional demonstrations, not member posts.

The community feed on a phone: a member’s post asking whether the order of their evidence makes sense, with the feedback they asked for, route and field tags, like and comment counts and a Saved button, under the Feed, Waiting for input and Platform suggestions tabs. The community feed on a phone: a member’s post asking whether the order of their evidence makes sense, with the feedback they asked for, route and field tags, like and comment counts and a Saved button, under the Feed, Waiting for input and Platform suggestions tabs.

What professionals can and cannot do

A listed professional

  • is listed only after their licence has been checked against the relevant public register
  • hears from you when you start the contact
  • agrees any legal service directly with you; GTJ takes no commission on it

A professional cannot

  • browse members or request files in bulk
  • open anyone’s private workspace or vault; no listing or verification includes that

The professional directory is not open yet.

Questions

Is this an official service?

No. Global Talent Journey is an independent product. It is not part of any government, it is not a law firm or an endorsing body, and nothing here is a government partnership.

Are the US pathways the same as UK Global Talent?

No. UK Global Talent is a UK programme. O-1, EB-1, the EB-2 National Interest Waiver and H-1B are separate US categories with their own rules. They are not equivalents and do not turn into each other.

Is the percentage my chance of acceptance?

No. It counts how many document-preparation tasks you have completed. It says nothing about how a decision-maker will judge your case.

Will a lawyer see my files?

Not by default. A verified professional’s listing or an administrator role does not open anyone’s private files.

What does it cost?

Nothing during the launch period. Private preparation is free, and members who register and verify their email address also get community participation, which they keep after the launch period ends. Nothing on GTJ gets you likes, visibility, a visa outcome or legal review.

What happens if I lose my key?

The document vault is being designed so that files are encrypted with keys GTJ does not hold. That means a lost key needs your own recovery method, and GTJ will not be able to open the files for you. The design is still under security review and the vault is not open for real sensitive documents yet.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Exporting your data and deleting your account are separate from uninstalling an app. The account deletion page explains each.

Is there a mobile app?

There is no app store release yet. A link will appear here only once a real store release exists.
