US H-1B Specialty Occupations
H-1B is a separate, employer-driven US category for specialty occupations. It is not a US version of UK Global Talent and it is not a talent route a person applies for alone.

What the USCIS page says
USCIS describes the category as being for people who wish to perform services in a specialty occupation
.
The page says the employer or its agent files the petition. For petitions subject to the annual cap, the page says a petition is only considered properly filed if it is based on a selected registration.

In GTJ, H-1B preparation means organising the documents your employer asks for. GTJ does not prepare or file anything for an employer.

- Registration periods, selection results, cap figures, fees and dates are not reproduced here. They change every year; the USCIS page is where to read them.
- The page’s own code label for the main specialty-occupation classification was not established by GTJ’s check, so none is given here.
- Which positions count as a specialty occupation, and cap exemptions, are not summarised here.
- The US Department of State’s visa pages (travel.state.gov) refused GTJ’s automated check, so nothing here is cross-checked against them. Everything on this page rests on the USCIS page alone.
- An approved petition, a visa issued by a consulate, admission at the border and a change of status are separate steps. This page does not describe them.
