Terms of use

The rules for using Global Talent Journey, written to be read. The short version: GTJ helps you organise and learn; it does not advise on your case.

1. Who we are

These terms apply between you and the operator of Global Talent Journey (“GTJ”, “we”):

GTJ is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Using GTJ creates no lawyer-client relationship with GTJ.
GTJ is not affiliated with UK Visas and Immigration, the Home Office, any endorsing body, USCIS or any other government body.
GTJ is not regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA). Nobody at GTJ, including moderators and automated features, gives an opinion on whether a particular member meets a requirement.
What GTJ offers is general information linked to official sources, tools to organise your own preparation, a community of people on similar journeys and pointers to regulated advisers.
The preparation percentage counts the tasks you have completed. It says nothing about how an authority will decide.
Official application forms are free from the government websites. If you want advice on your own case, use a regulated adviser: the SRA register of solicitors, the IAA adviser finder or your state bar.

Accounts are for people aged 18 or over. You confirm this when you create an account. GTJ does not ask for an identity document to check it.
One account belongs to one person. Use an e-mail address you can read, and keep your password and recovery key to yourself.
Registration is not open yet. These terms are published now so they can be read and reviewed before it opens.
You can export your data and delete your account at any time, free of charge. Account deletion

Documents in the vault are encrypted on your device with keys GTJ does not hold. GTJ cannot open them.
That also means GTJ cannot recover them for you. If you lose both your passphrase and your recovery key, nobody, including GTJ, can open those files again.
The vault is not open for real sensitive documents until an independent security review of the encryption is complete.
Upload only what you need. Avoid documents about other people, such as family members or referees, unless they are necessary for your preparation.

The community rules apply to everyone, including moderators, staff and listed professionals. Community rules
Moderation in short: anyone can report a post or a member; a moderator reviews reports in the engine’s review queue; a post can be hidden or removed and an account restricted; the member affected sees the reason and can appeal; the person who reported sees the outcome. Every report is handled the same way, whoever sends it.
Replies come from other members, not from lawyers. Posts are not confidential or privileged. Do not post details that identify your case or other people.
You keep ownership of what you post. You allow GTJ to store it and show it to signed-in members for as long as it stays posted, and to operate and secure the service. GTJ does not sell your posts or use them to train AI.

The professionals directory is not open yet.
Listed professionals are independent. Any engagement, fee, advice and responsibility for that advice is between you and the professional.
Applying for verification and seeing the result costs nothing. GTJ takes no referral fee or commission from professionals, and nothing changes the order of the directory.
“Registration checked” means that GTJ checked the professional’s entry in the named public register on the date shown. It does not rate quality, results or fit. Verification methodology
A contact request goes by e-mail to that professional only. GTJ cannot recall or delete the copy they receive, and it is not confidential or privileged.
Lawyers on a Turkish bar roll are not listed.

Payments are switched off. No payment is taken today and nothing is charged automatically.
What is free during the launch period is on the membership page. Membership
If GTJ ever introduces features that cost money, they will be announced together with their terms, including refund and cancellation terms, before anyone is charged. Refunds and cancellation

Do not:

copy member content or directory data in bulk, or access the service with bots or scripts other than the official apps;
trade likes, stars, follows or views, or ask others for them;
post illegal content, harass anyone or share someone else’s personal information;
pretend to be another person, a regulated adviser or a government body;
test the security of the service without written permission. If you find a flaw, report it privately.

GTJ may restrict or suspend an account only for a specific reason: a serious or repeated breach of these terms or the community rules, illegal activity, a security risk to other members, or a legal requirement.
You are told the reason and how to appeal, unless the law forbids telling you. Where the law allows and the risk permits, you are warned first.
You can stop using GTJ and delete your account whenever you want.

Significant changes are announced in advance, with the reason and the date they take effect. Simply continuing to use GTJ is not taken as agreement to a change that affects you negatively.
If you do not accept a change, you can export your data and leave before it takes effect.

Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Within that, GTJ is responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of GTJ breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care.
GTJ is not responsible for decisions of immigration authorities, endorsing bodies or employers, or for advice given by independent professionals.
GTJ aims to keep the service available but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Keep your own copies of important documents.

These terms are governed by the law of Türkiye.
If you use GTJ as a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country.
There is no mandatory arbitration and no waiver of group claims.
